GOVERNMENT OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA – MIDDLE EAST & AFRICA (GoWA)

The Government of Western Australia (GoWA), Dubai was established in October 2002, in recognition of the increasing opportunities for the export of Western Australian (WA) products and services to the Middle East & African region. GoWA Dubai encourages commercial trade development and facilitates investment attraction from Middle East and Africa to Western Australia and vice versa. GoWA is also responsible for education, tourism and cultural ties between the two regions.

GoWA's functions include:

  • Introducing Middle East (ME) and African companies wishing to source overseas products, services and technologies to competent Western Australian suppliers
  • Assisting ME & African companies interested in investing in Western Australia
  • Providing Government-to-Government liaison GoWA Dubai assists Western Australian companies to cost effectively develop their markets in the Middle East and Africa by offering the following services:
  • Identification of market potential for their specific products and services

    • Identification of market potential for their specific products and services
    • Introductions to local business consultants, importers and key industry players
    • Organisation of trade events and participation in trade exhibitions GoWA aims to assist local companies to find Western Australian suppliers for a wide range of products and services in a number of industries, including:
    • Construction sector – specialist materials and consultancy services
    • Oil & Gas and Mining Industries – Western Australia has strengths in mining consultancy services.
    • Agriculture and processed foods – Western Australia can supply all types of food products, both processed and raw materials
    • Education – high quality education at competitive rates

    • Health industry products and services
