The Australian Marine Complex (AMC) is home to one of the largest marine industry facilities in Australia. The AMC was developed to facilitate and enhance the opportunities created by bringing together businesses servicing the marine, defence, oil and gas, and resources industries. The AMC is the southern hemisphere's premier integrated marine industrial complex and can facilitate projects on an international scale. Since opening in July 2003, the AMC has delivered more than 400 major infrastructure projects, worth in excess of A$793 million, and has generated more than 10 800 jobs. These four precincts are used by over 140 businesses.

Who is using the AMC?

FMC Technologies is a global provider of subsea production, processing systems and surface wellhead systems. The company recently opened its new facility in the complex. Matrix Composites and Engineering is a leading Australian manufacturer of critical engineered products for the offshore, subsea, mining and defence industries. The company recently opened its new facility within the complex. Civmec Construction and Engineering, a locally-based Western Australian company, has recently opened its A$24 million undercover fabrication and assembly hall. The facility is the largest space of its kind in Australia and caters for the marine, defence, oil and gas, and resources industries. The company has enhanced and strengthened Western Australia's leading fabrication capabilities.

Chevron Australia is using the AMC service and supply base at the CUF to support its operations for the Gorgon Project.
